Arnold Business Enterprises LLC Announces
New Insurance Alliance for HSA Marketing
Gurnee, Illinois: Arnold Business Enterprises LLC (ABE) of Gurnee, Illinois (an employee benefits consulting firm) has announced that it has terminated its strategic alliance with insurance broker US Med Insurance of Kansas City, MO and moved, effective July 1, 2005, to one with local Gurnee Insurance Broker Tomei Insurance.
The change was prompted by U.S. Med Insurance changing their business strategy from servicing small and medium sized businesses to one exclusively servicing various association groups. ABE's market niche is consulting and servicing businesses of any size. Therefore, ABE sought out an experienced HSA broker compatible with their business strategy and found it locally with Tomei Insurance.
Ken Arnold, ABE President, said: "HSAs just became a permanent fixture in the employee benefits area in the Fall of 2003 with Congress passing the appropriate legislation. I predict that this innovative medical insurance concept will experience the same type growth curve as HMOs did in the 1980s!"
Health Savings Accounts add consumerism and personal wealth accumulation into the mix of healthcare benefit design. It has both an insurance component and a personal savings account component that can materially build over the years and ultimately can provide retiree healthcare coverage, long term care, or even be treated just like any IRA for non-medical retirement expenses.
The Tomei Insurance Agency, owned by Joe Tomei, has been in business for over 30 years and has a strong, local presence in the Northern Chicago suburbs. In addition to medical insurance, Tomei Insurance also offers a full line of life, disability, and financial services offerings. ABE is intending to predominently use Tomei for HSA "implementation specifics" once clients select plans (i.e. enrollment forms, proofs of good health, etc.). However: On an "as needed" basis, ABE will involve Tomei in non-HSA employee benefits work, too.
For companies. not-for-profits, and other entities interested in learning more and adding an HSA to their healthcare coverage offerings, ABE offers a presentation titled “Understanding Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)” They would be happy to make this presentation to firms interested in material savings in healthcare costs while giving maximum flexibility to both employers and employees.
Arnold Business Enterprises LLC Announces Telephone Autocalling
Product and Service Offering
Gurnee, Illinois: Ken Arnold, President of Arnold Business Enterprises LLC of Gurnee, Illinois, has announced new offerings of the firm in the area of telephone autocalling. These offerings are both products and services related to "Broadcast By Phone" the first PC based telephone autocalling software available to the public.
Arnold Business Enterprises LLC has become an exclusive distributor of this software, and several other related software items, of Voicent Communications. With this capability an individual, firm, or political campaign can perform high volume telephone calling or polling via the PC equipment they currently own. Little in additional expense is involved.
Many uses can be had for this new capability. Mr. Arnold states: "I used it in my recent race for the U.S. Congress and was extremely pleased with the product and capability...so much so that my firm became a distributor!" He went on to state: "It dawns on me that my fellow HR professionals could well use this capability. With this software, HR can directly communicate to employee's home phones such things as an upcoming benefits enrollment period, a reminder of any HR deadline, an opinion poll, or even an emergency message such as an office closing due to natural or manmade events".
In addition to selling the software licenses for this powerful capability, ABE also offers services in the easy setup of such software as well as tutoring of personnel in its operations. Additionally, for those who do not wish to bring in-house this capability, ABE offers telephone autocalling services on a price (based upon volume of calls) that can be as low as 5 cents per call. ABE has developed a robust call out capability with licensed PC capacity of more than 15 simultaneously running telephone lines for such use.

Mr. Kenneth W. Arnold is President and Senior Consultant with Arnold Business Enterprises LLC -- a general business, accounting, and human resource management consulting concern located in Gurnee, Illinois. He and his wife, Susan Arnold, fully established this firm around the time of Mr. Arnold’s departure in February, 1998, from directing Employee Benefits for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co. – a fortune 100 financial services firm.
Previous to his thirteen years of management within Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co., Mr. Arnold was a Consulting Analyst with William M. Mercer – the largest employee benefits consulting firm in the world.
Mr. Arnold has been a presenter at various national human resources conferences and a national advisor to Employee Benefits Expo – the largest annual gathering of employee benefits professionals in the nation. He has also been quoted in the Employee Benefits News and The Wall Street Journal on various benefits issues and in both 2006 and 2008, ran for the United States Congress in the 8th District of Illinois.
Mr. Arnold graduated magna cum laude from the Indiana University School of Business with both BS and MBA degrees in General Business Administration from that institution. Mr. Arnold also attended the Indiana University School of Law. In addition to Mr. Arnold’s over 25 years experience and the above degree programs, Mr. Arnold has received the postgraduate certifications of Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and Senior Professional in Human Resource Management (SPHR) from the Wharton School of Business and the Society for Human Resources Management, respectively.

Ms. Susan M. Arnold is owner, CEO and Senior Consultant with Arnold Business Enterprises LLC -- a general business, accounting, and human resource management consulting concern located in Gurnee, Illinois. She and her husband, Kenneth W. Arnold, CEBS, SPHR; fully established this firm around the time of Mr. Arnold’s departure in February, 1998, from directing the Employee Benefits function for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co. – a fortune 100 financial services firm.
Ms. Arnold has over 25 years experience in Administration, Accounting, and Business Management. Ms. Arnold has worked as the Director of Finance and Administration for Lake County’s privately owned Manpower franchise (effectively operating the entire, multi-state business in its various facets). Previous to this, Ms. Arnold was an Executive Assistant within T. P. Laboratories – the premier manufacturer of orthodontic appliances in the nation; rated and established insurance plans with Hardgrave Insurance, and worked in the customer service department of Whirlpool Corporation.
Ms. Arnold graduated from the Krannert School of Business of Purdue University with a BS degree in Management and a concentration in Accounting. She, previous to this, also obtained an Associate Arts Degree in Secretarial Science from the same institution. Both Ms. Arnold’s Associate and BS degree programs were obtained while she worked full-time at T. P. Laboratories.
